These sculptures are made of re-purposed steel and metal. Each one was created to hold a treasured stone from my personal collection.

In December 2014, I acquired my metal working equipment from a gifted artist moving forward in other aspects of his creative career. He made my progression into this new medium possible. Thank you, Lucky!!!

Diving into metal work with absolutely no experience, two artisans at the Artists Alley warehouses took time from their days to teach me the basics of using this equipment safely. I discovered what I suspected, that I love working with metal just as much as clay!

Each medium has its own inherent limitations. Where the structural limits of clay begin, metal becomes the bridge to continue.
